New Features:
Enhanced Report Generator Functionality
The new Report Generator has been redesigned and includes a
freshly designed interface. The new interface allows multiple
reports to be aggregated into report folders. In addition, an
integrated job scheduler allows all the reports included within a
folder to be run with a single command. Beyond the extensive multi
system/partition reporting capabilities offered on all natively
accessible audit data such as system journal, file journal, TCP/IP
network events, and SQL Statements the Report Generator leverages
proprietary audit logs activated by the Bsafe/ Enterprise Security
audit policy to allow reporting on IP Packet events, Bsafe/Policy
Compliance Manager deviation events and many more. A new
import/export function has been created as well, to allow quick
report propagation across the enterprise.
Compliance Made Easy
Based on extensive regulatory experience version 6.1
includes complete libraries of market tested pre-defined
regulatory and category specific reports. Regulations such as PCI,
HIPAA and SOX have a vast list of reports. Reporting categories
such as TCP/IP Network activity, PTF, Field Level Audit, Object
Authority, System Audit and System Values are all ready to use out
of the box.
Identity Management and Profile Provisioning
Version 6.1 includes a remarkable set of capabilities in
the area of multi system and policy based user profile management
& provisioning. These functions permit tighter integration of
Bsafe/Enterprise Security into an organization's identity
management and business application processes.

Bsafe Enterprise Security - Version 4.1
New Features:
AS400 Security and Central Audit.
A combined AS400 Security/audit facility fed by the
system audit and file audit, giving the following benefits while
maintaining context-specific event detail parsing:
1. Information from different sources in one place.
2. Saved audit history, even after receiver deletion or
file deletion.
3. Filtering of different audits by common criteria.
4. Connected audit trail.
Read-Record Audit.
Monitor file read access from any source - from the network
or in the native environment. See the field values of each
accessed record.
Interactive Session Swapping.
This gives you a way to sign on as a green screen native
user, then switch to another user with all the authorities and
rights of that user - without knowing the swapping user's
password.
DRDA Swapping.
A means of executing host to host SQL queries when
connected with one user and password but being seen by the system
as a different authorized user with all the appropriate rights and
authorities, in accordance with the definitions the administrator
has made previously.
Additional Improvements over version 4.0
Client/server downward compatibility enhanced.
GUI now compatible with all previous Bsafe/Enterprise
Server installations, allowing you to manage different machines on
the network, even those with different versions of
Bsafe/Enterprise Security, from a single GUI.
Auditing and Reporting Capability Enhanced to Include
Swapping and Field Masking
The expanded protection capabilities described above are
complemented with full reporting of these enhancements.
Bsafe Enterprise Security - Version 4.0
Bsafe Enterprise Security is a new product replacing
Bsafe/Global Security. The version 4.0 is in fact the first
version of the new product. The version number of 4.0 was chosen
to indicate to our existing customers that it is a continuation of
Bsafe/Global Security, the last released version of which was 3.6.
The new product will be available to existing customers of
Bsafe/Global Security at no additional cost provided they have a
current maintenance agreement.
Brand New Features:
1. Completely New GUI Interface. Modular, more efficient
and even more user friendly than Bsafe/Global Security.
2. Multi-Machine. Ability to manage the security of any
number of machines, anywhere in the world, at the same time.
3. Multi-Platform. New Linux module (optional, at
additional cost) providing management of access control for the
Linux operating system or OS/400 in the same GUI environment.
4. Account Swapping. Adopting of another users
permission's.
Major Improvements as compared to Bsafe/Global Security:
1. Telnet Control Re-engineered. Full telnet activity
audits all user activity, now without touching the user profiles
initial program.
2. New Modular Role Management Module. Different users can
be assigned different administrative roles in the Bsafe security
environment, in accordance with the responsibilities assigned to
them.
3. File Audit Reports Enhanced. File group feature added to
the report generator allowing specific field selection and user
selection by Bsafe custom user groups.
4. System Journal Reports Enhanced. Reports now definable
by custom action type groups and Bsafe custom user groups.
5. Restriction of CHGSPLFA command added.
